Practice
For my first practice I did poses. I really enjoy posing characters, and I believe I said something to that effect on my last blog when talking about my Spider-man poses. One of the things that I've learned from posing is when to switch hands or feet between IK and FK. I think my poses were really successful.
This Weight shift practice was tricky for me. It was the last thing I did, and I did a lot of looking at myself in the mirror and practicing. I think it would have been better for me to just have made reference of myself cause I felt myself leaning more into making poses I was already animating rather than trying to move naturally and copy that in animations.
Later on I made some corrections to this animation with instruction. From that I learned I needed to really pay attention to arcs and spacing. Spacing was one that I was already aware of so I know going forward I really need to pay attention to it.
This one was my favorite, the jumping legs. I had a rough time getting it to render properly, but I think it was worth it. It still has some timing and spacing problems but I think compared to all of the animations I've made so far that it's really successful.
Next Steps
I suspected I needed to pay attention to timing and now I really know now that I need to. It might even be worth it for me to ask for additional timing exercises going forward since I know it's something I need to work on.
